MEET THE PORSCHE 911 CARRERA GTS

Choosing to snub the Paris Motor Show and beating the LA Auto Show by a month, Porsche has finally revealed the 2015 911 GTS. This model, designated to fit cozily between the Carrera S and the GT3, features its own range of four models: it will be offered in coupe and convertible format, with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The GTS is powered by Porsche's 3.8-liter flat-six, producing 424 horsepower – 30 more than the Carrera S. With a PDK dual-clutch, that moves the GTS from 0-62 mph in 4 seconds.
In the GTS Cabriolet, that same setup will get you to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds. Both will reach a top speed of 186 mph. That number rises to 190 when equipping the coupe or convertible with rear-wheel drive. The entire range is fitted with PASM active dampers, lowering ride height by 10 mm, and with the Sport Chrono package. Also included are interior components in Alcantara, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Lighting, and a sports exhaust system. The GTS features the Carrera 4's wider body, 20-inch matte black wheels, and black-accented air intakes, rear diffuser and rear decklid. The coupe starts at $114,000 and all-wheel drive comes at an extra $6K. Cabriolet models will begin at $126,100, with the Carrera 4 GTS adding another $4,800.Porsche says that the car is available with PDK transmission, but hasn't yet detailed which manual will be added to the lineup.
