LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT MAKES SPLASH LANDING IN PARIS

Land Rover opted for a dramatic entrance when unveiling its new Discovery Sport to the public for the first time, showcasing two models on a giant barge on the River Seine.Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was standing by to make the pictures more pretty while giant Union Jack-patterned Wellington boots made for a decidedly British backdrop. Land Rover says the new premium compact SUV is so significant it will be the only vehicle on its booth today.

Ditching the LR2/Freelander nameplates, the Discovery Sport has been comprehensively redesigned with a ‘five-plus-two’ seating arrangement, 240-hp 2.0-liter turbo, nine-speed automatic and a starting price below $40,000.
