THE SILVERADO TOUGHNOLOGY CONCEPT COMING TO SEMA



Set to debut in Las Vega at SEMA, the 2015 Chevy Silverado Toughnology Concept will promote the truck's use of high strength steel as an example for the exterior appearance by making the truck "mimic the look of raw, unpainted steel."This technology can be up to 30% lighter than traditional carbon steel and makes the truck, stronger, lighter and more efficient - and at a significantly lower cost compared to aluminum.
The 2015 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L V8 EcotTec3 engine will run 23 mpg on the highway, with a towing capacity of 11,200 pounds. 12,000 pounds with the 6.2L V8.The truck sports a black hood, mesh grill insert, tubular assist steps, folding tonneau cover, washable carpet bedliner, fender flares, tinted headlights and 22-inch alloys. She comes with heated leather appointed bucket seats, rear-seat entertainment and OnStar 4G LTE, including a built in Wi-Fi hotspot.
