Typically whenever an exclusive automaker, such as Mercedes, reveals a new model, a special "launch edition" often follows. And some people will be more than willing to pay a bit more for the 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 Edition 1. Will it be worth it? We won’t know until pricing is released, but for now we do have official details and photos ahead of its expected debut in Paris later this week.Offered for both the C63 AMG and C63 AMG S sedan or wagon, the Edition 1 adds special touches inside and out.New features include six different body colors, 19-inch forged cross spoke wheels with matte black paint and red trim, and the AMG Night Package which includes a black front wing, mirrors caps, sill cladding inlays, waistline trim and window frames, and tinted rear windows. Other styling bits include black-chromed twin exhaust pipes, red decals, and side stripes.The interior, decked out in Nappa leather with red stitching, has performance seats, silver-colored aluminum paddle shifters, and "Edition 1" lettering. Engine wise, buyers will still have the same bi-turbo V8 found in the "base" C63 with 469 horsepower or the slightly more insane C63 S with 503 horsepower. Production is for the first model year only.
