In an odd cross-promotional twist, Kia is also integrating this marketing campaign with the 2015 Australian Open, which the Korean carmaker is sponsoring. As you can see, the one-off Kia Sorento looks like Wolverine has slashed the car with his adamantium claws, which also appear menacingly at the rear of the car – as a sort of permanent “F-YOU!” to cars driving behind it.But there’s more to come from the X-Men Sorento, which will be showcased at Melbourne Park throughout the duration of the first Grand Slam of 2015.“Kia will release a video on its Facebook page and YouTube in mid-December, showing Rafael Nadal teaming up with the X-Men and taking on the Sentinels - the robotic antagonists from the latest film in the X-Men franchise- who are threatening the Australian Open 2015. To save the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, the X-Men and Nadal are helped by a 'Kia X-Car', which leads the attack against the Sentinels."
